The works on display in the exhibition entitled Space, Time, Experience<\/em> can be interpreted as the “inner landscapes” of painters Gy\u0151z\u0151 Bihon and Andrea Guly\u00e1s. Two separate worlds, two independent universes \u2013 yet a shared experience. An exhibition in which we not only observe, but also participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gy\u0151z\u0151 Bihon’s paintings reveal a wide variety of landscapes through his trademark bird’s-eye view depictions. The layers of these images, which resemble both maps and reliefs, are built upon each other, just like the cities that inspired them\u2014such as Rome, Assisi, and Szentendre\u2014while his most recent works were created under the influence of Hungary’s wine regions. The contemporary artist’s works can be linked to traditional painting, digital vision, and spatial thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrea Guly\u00e1s’s “geometric impressionism” is both disciplined and lyrical, with the past and the future meeting in the present moment in her works. The series of paintings entitled Tribute to Monet is, on the one hand, a reference to the masterpieces of the father of impressionism and, on the other, its worthy contemporary spiritual heir. In her other masterpieces, she uses visuality as a tool, but goes beyond its boundaries to enter the world of music with her metaphorical depiction of musical instruments and her characteristic, airy yet taut style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The art of Gy\u0151z\u0151 Bihon and Andrea Guly\u00e1s does not describe, but becomes an experience: an exciting inner journey in which space, time, and experience converge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
