exhibition of Éva Mayer painter and Áron Majoros sculptor
Dialogue
2025. 12. 04. – 2026. 01. 09.
The artist couple, Éva Mayer, visual artist, and Áron Zsolt Majoros, sculptor, is exhibiting together for the fourth time at the Etyeki Műhely Gallery.
Éva Mayer and Áron Zsolt Majoros for many years have been exploring themes in their work that deal with faith, privacy and publicity, internal personal values, and the contradictory relationship between collective social norms and the expectations placed on individuals. They explore taboo subjects such as illness, social and minority conflicts, and the problem of prejudice and migration, while at the same time their works reflect on themes of longing and questions related to faith and sacredness. Their works are often installations and site-specific, placed in both sacred and desacralized spaces, where the unusual pairing of the everyday and the sacred complement each other well. In recent years, they have held three joint exhibitions in Budapest, Székesfehérvár, and Komárom.
This time in their exhibition entitled “Dialogue” and at the center of their personal experiences, the issues of hope, acceptance, letting go, providence, and the desire for caring are projected through imaginative inner images.
