exhibition of Ottó Szabó painter
Crossroad
2025. 03. 06. – 2025. 04. 30.

Ottó Szabó (1965) is a graphic artist and painter who sometimes works as a sculptor, sometimes as an interior designer, graphic designer and designer. In short: a creative artist. A master and lover of line. Although these days he paints rather than draws, each of his paintings bears witness to the fact that he has never been unfaithful to line, to his original craft, graphic art. His paintings can be interpreted in many different ways, and can best be compared to Chinese characters: the compositions of his paintings are also composed of two (sometimes more) elements: there is the phonetic element, which shows how to read the characters, and there is the meaning element. The phonetic element is the sight of the painting. The meaning element is deeper, the interpretation is aided by a field the artist calls the referential element.
