This international symposium, organised for the seventh time this year at Izsa, Felvidék, is the fruit of the cooperation of the Bokros family and György Dolán painter. The Bokros farm is one of the famous farms, which belong to Izsa, located 8 kms from Komárom. The farm is a real home, and inspiring environment for the artists, which also involves a small museum presenting local ethnic traditions. The building of the pension, originated from 1860, which serves as a community space and accommodation as well, was renovated exactly 10 years ago. Due to György Dolán’s the international connections, artists were invited not only from Slovakia and Hungary, but also from numerous countries in Europe and overseas, among others from Austria, France, Poland, Spain, Japan, Mexico and Iran. During these past years, more than 120 artists have participated at the art camps at the Sámson family’s farm, and a selection from their works is now displayed at the Etyeki Műhely gallery.
