Like imprints of geological epochs on a soil section, the overlapping and superimposed strata of the human journey exist simultaneously.
Whilst experiences, sensations, and the signals reflected thereon, present themselves in undivided complete blocks, the spade of the searching eye reveals the hidden treasures, the lived, personal knowledge.
Building on each other yet different in nature, the empirical horizons of two artists, of two generations, are manifest in the sculptural exhibition of György Markolt and his son, Sebestyén Markolt.
Their sculptures are visual inner monologues illuminated through the lens of organic yet anthropomorphic forms.”
