metro action and guided tour at Zsolt Koroknai DLA visual artist’s exhibition, Ozone Blue Sky

2025. 11. 11. – 19:00

Round and round – music, movement, sound
Three artists (members of the L1 Association), three separate worlds – yet they revolve in a shared space, born from each other’s movements, reflected in each other’s voices. The performance explores the power of circularity: continuous movement, interacting energies, the invisible connection between music and the body.
The vibrations of the singing bowl set off waves that fill the space, echoed by the seemingly endless sounds created by the saxophone’s circular breathing. The rotation that appears in the movement—sometimes slowly unfolding, sometimes with an elemental swirl—becomes the visual counterpart of the air circulating in the sound.
The space is filled with rhythm, vibration, presence. Every movement is a response, every sound a new impulse. The viewer is not an outsider, but part of the cycle – the shared experience of purification and renewal.
A refined composition, yet a deeply human encounter: a shared space of art and self-reflection, where rotation transforms movement into feeling, and feeling into experience.
Metro action appears in unusual situations, so in 2010, the performance could be encountered on the Kisföldalattin (M1) subway line as a duo by Márta Ladjánszki and Zsolt Varga; In 2020, with the addition of Zsolt Koroknai, passengers encountered the performance at several stations on the M3 metro line. When theater visits were not possible due to Covid19 regulations, the performance was moved from the tunnel to the theater’s black box space, and in 2021-22, with the financial support of the ‘Thank you, Hungary! Program’, the production was also taken to venues outside Budapest, where it was performed at markets, in forests, on the shores of Lake Balaton, at artist colonies, and in exhibition spaces. The work was then presented at additional venues both domestically and abroad; the complete list can be found here.
