In the works of Csaba Szegedi we experience the wonderful interaction of colours, shapes and gestures. He considers himself a colourist, and his primary interest is in the harmonious juxtaposition of different tones, contrasts and complementaries, which he is able to express in abstracted form in his landscapes. In his impressionistic paintings, he creates masterfully the forms behind the spectacle. As a highly educated and skilled artist and university lecturer, he is fully aware of the laws of nature, its system of proportions, the process of seeing, the possible distortions of different points of view and the mechanism of action of all of these in visual arts.
